Surgery Basics Program
Requirements
- Veterinary Practitioner or Veterinary Student
- Costa Rican Visa if required and Up to Date Passport (for In-Person)
Objectives
- The student should be able to learn different stitches used on skin and basic abdominal surgery
- To practice how to use surgical instruments
- Learning the difference while practicing on different suture materials
- Practice aseptic gowning and gloving
In-Person Format

- 2 days

- Materials to work on
- Housing (4 days total, including arrival and departure days)

- Visa processing

Online Format
- 4-6 hours real-time online course over zoom
- Does not include materials
- You will need suturing kit, scalpel blades, suture pad, shoe leash and some fruits (to practice with different textures)
